THE SERPENTS IN 'MARK 16:17,18'
   
(1)Mark 16:17,18;
    ~"17:And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18:They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." (KJV).
    ~The above two verses meant that if at all the believers, those in Christ, touched or encountered 'serpents', unknowingly or abruptly found in a given evil situation, they will be saved because of their faith.
    ~As in, if they are caught unaware in a given hard situation; then their faith in Christ Jesus will save them; but not out of tempting God in such a matter.
    ~Tempting God is sin before God Himself; if at all you tempt your God while using the scripture in Mark 16:17,18, then you're a false prophet.
    ~BE EXTRA CAREFUL WITH FALSE PROPHETS; they tame big serpents in order to demonstrate to the Believers that they are 'Heaven sent'; yet they are wolves in sheep's skins.
    ~God is not a magician, that's why he created man, you, with a high thinking brain, compared to other creatures; So, He does not entertain tempting Him (Matthew 4:7-11, Deuteronomy 6:16).
    ~God works by 'Faith' and by 'Grace'.

(2)The Penalty for the False Prophets;
    ~Jeremiah 8:17;
          "17:For, behold, I will send serpents, cockatrices, among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall bite you, saith the Lord." (KJV).
    ~Jeremiah 8:11; False prophets say, "Peace, peace!" yet their is no peace. For their peace is that of evil, and not the Godly peace in Christ Jesus. Jesus Christ is the only 'Peace of eternity'. Also, READ; Jeremiah 6:14, Ezekiel 13:9,10.
    ~False prophets are wicked; 'wickedness' is unpardonable sin before God (Matthew 12:31-32). Be careful, always, not to insult the 'Holy Spirit'.
    ~Jesus Christ had to clarify 'Jeremiah 8:17' in favour of those who believed in him (those who were in Christ- then and now).
